Translating Man-Speak

  1. You've been out on a couple of dates. At the end of the night, he says, "I think we'd make great friends." What does he really mean?
    • "Really. Let's be friends. I think you're cool and want to hang out, platonically."
    • "You're not my type. But I'd love to keep in touch in case you have any hot friends I might hit it off with."
    • "I'm not feeling you. At all. We'll probably never speak again."
  1. You overhear him say to his friends that you two are "seeing each other." What he means is:
    • He's seeing you and about half the women in the tri-state area, too.
    • He's seeing you and only you.
    • He's seeing you -- but not exclusively.
